Ofishal was founded by Dallas Abel, a marine scientist who spent years as a New Zealand Government Fisheries Observer. Watching thousands of tonnes of fish offcuts discarded at sea, he became convinced that utilisation – drawing more value from fish already caught – is one of the most powerful tools for conservation.
